As a team-managed (formerly next-gen) project admin, I want to be able to add different subtasks issue types

      Problem Definition

      Currently, team-managed (formerly next-gen) projects have only one subtask issue type, while company-managed (formerly classic) projects allow the creation of multiple subtasks types.

      Suggested Solution

      Allow the possibility of creation of multiple subtasks issue types in a team-managed (formerly next-gen) project

            How do we unsubscribe from this thread? It's become sad how long this seemingly "self-evident" request has existed.

            Look at the history. The first request was made in August of 2019. This August will be 4 years and there's no indication it will happen anytime soon.

            Atlassian doesn't value this. If you need it, you'll need to seek a different product.

            I believe this issue is a duplicate of JSWCLOUD-20901 – Allow the creation of Multiple Sub-task issue types in Team Managed projects

            I recommend that watchers of this issue vote on and watch the above issue. So that votes aren't split, I believe this ticket should be closed, but I will wait a week before taking any action in case anyone thinks both issues should continue to exist. Thank you!

            Since "company-managed" can be created, it is in an inconsistent state.
            When searching, it is troublesome to search for subtasks in "company-managed" and ”team-managed” at once.

            Much needed feature, Because I would like to create "Test case" as one of the Child Issue in Jira Story. Or please let me know , any other way to create test case against Jira User Story ?

            I have a small team with different disciplines working from the same project. We would love t he ability to have customizable sub tasks to easily assign out parts of a story to the correct person without making something as big as an epic.
