Hi all,

I really like the "Releases" page but my team fails to populate the version field all the time.

My next gen has the field FixVersion by default but the workflow rules don't work with it like the others (Assignee, Desc, Labels, etc.).

• I need a rule that forces the user to populate the field prior to transition to "In Progress".
• Am I doing something wrong and rules should apply to "FixVersion"?
• Should I create a custom field and if so, will the "Release" page work with the custom version field?
• Or should I wait on "required" fields feature that forces user to populate the value.

I'm happy to announce that we have just added support for the release report page in next-gen, now when you click a version you will be shown the release report page instead of a JQL search page.

 Hello! When it will be possible to group items by and filter items by 'Version' on Kanban Board? This filter exists on the Backlog page, but doesn't exist on the Board page. Not sure I understand why it's so.

For those of you who's looking for a way to clear the DONE column of completed/resolved issues, we've launched manual board clearing a month ago! https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Next-gen-articles/Introducing-manual-board-clearing-for-your-next-gen-Kanban-board/ba-p/1411958

Note that this works differently from Classic, as we've decoupled it from the Releases feature since they serve different JTBD. Board clearing is about board hygiene, and Releases is about tracking versions for a bunch of issues. Let me know in the community post if there is any other feedback about board clearing!

When will this feature be available?

Still waiting for this feature in order to move to Next-gen board... 

So we've switched mode back to Kanban, and our board now has c.300 items in the Done column (which is right-most).

desparately needs affects version and would be nice to have the release page we had in classic.  

The Next-gen projects are still missing "Affects versions" field which make them unusable in real product-related projects. It's the basic field when working with bugs affecting different releases. When can we expect adding it?

Our company depends on using Versions and Releases for various internal needs. Until they are added we're unable to use next gen projects, which is a shame as the Roadmap feature is much needed.
