As a team manager I would like to be able to plan my capacity/utilization per team member (assignee)

Thanks for your feedback and comments, the JIRA team is working hard to improve the product and we are aware of the many requests here on jira.atlassian.com

We understand that this is a significant issue for many of you, however we cannot provide any guidance at this time as to when, or if, we'll be implementing it.

Please consider Portfolio for JIRA and other add-ons in the Atlassian Marketplace which currently offer this functionality.

      Hello

With the current version of GH it is possible to define non-working days. These apply globally to all assignees. Vacation and other individual leaves/non-working days remain as a major blind spot in the planning process. So it would be great if it would be possible to define non-working days at the assignee level.

This is how the process works for me today:

      1. For my sprint and release planning I use the planning board and contexts to show me the view of each team member
      2. Using the version view, I then assign tasks/subtasks from each team member (using context) to a version/sprint
      3. The "time remaining" figure on the version pannel (right side of screen) tells me how many estimate hours have been assigned to the team member for a given version/sprint
      4. I now have to manually check our sharepoint calendar to see/calculate how many days/hours the team member (assignee) is working during the period of the release/sprint (start/end date)
      5. With this calculation of available days for the team member, I cross check with the "time remaining" figure in GH
      6. If I have overloaded/underloaded the team member, I have to then adjust the number of tasks assigned

      The improvement I would like:

      • Enter general non-working days using the currently available feature in GH
      • Enter non-wokring days per Assignee using the new feature
      • Have GH calculate the available days pased on
        • For Version, Component and Projecto verview view: Assignee/Group of current context (JIRA Filter or Custom Filter)
        • For Assignee view: Calculated for each displayed assignee
      • Signal overloaded team members with some form of graphical signaling
