The Insight Custom Field Configuration "Order by" setting is only applying to the picker view of that Custom Field. When saving the JIRA issue the objects selected in the Custom Field will be ordered alphabetically regardless of the "order by" config of the Custom Field.I would like that the both Edit and View Screens will respect the config setting "order by".

[JSDSERVER-7932] Sort Order by Attribute to apply to View and Edit screens of JIRA Issue

Jira seems to sort the objects based on their ID # and ignores any "ORDER BY"; please make this a priority

            Hi,

Had done testing on this issue!

It's look like this when I try this:  I order the select option attributes by the order I put it in the "Filter objects with attributes", like asset-attribute: Name, Info.

Start to put in "Name" first and after that "Info":

            • In JSM version 5.5.0 and lower; after I done, I reload the page and the attributes it's stick the same order you put it in. (Name, Info)
            • In JSM version 5.6.0 to 9.8.1; after I done, I reload the page and the attributes is in alphabetically order. (Info, Name)

So, is it possible to do as Alex Cooksey says in a later version of JSM?

This feature is greatly needed; I have customers that utilize Assets (Insight) tool greatly!
