Warn user when removing object connected to issue

XMLWordPrintable

ProblemWhen you have Insight custom fields that contains objects, and you delete the object from Insight structure it will be forever removed from all issues having that value. As Insight in many cases are becoming more business critical it is a great danger as it is easy to delete an object by mistake. Users expect to get a warning when something dangerous like this is about to happen. As an admin I would expect the same behaviour for Insight fields as for a normal select list when removing an item.h3. Proposed solution #1If you try to delete an object that is connected to one or more issues, you should get a clear warning that you will remove values from issue fields. User would need to get information on: * Which fields that are concerned * A link to view all concerned issues - preferrably one link for each field to quickly being able to do a bulk change.h3. Proposed solution #2In addition to the solution above, let the user select how to remap the values for the issues having the object in concern. Much in the same way as when you remove a select list item of a normal custom field as an admin.
