It should be Possible, that attachments with the same file name are shown as Versions. The Idea is, that when you upload a new attachment with same name as an attachment which is already existing at this object, the link of the attachment works as dropdown (like the functionality in the Smart Attachments Plugin in Jira).I Think this is a little change in programming, but a big change in functionality, because (with some user-rights added to the delete-Button) you'll have a Version safe DMS.
