We have recently added a bugfix to the Graph View, not respecting the Reference Depth (JSDSERVER-7182) - which works as expected, however, it changed the earlier behaviour of the Graph View:
When Reference Depth = 1, the object graph view should show any inbound / outbound references and objects for the selected objects - this works fine.

In older versions of Insight - when objects visible in the graph had references between them - these references will be visualized as well, with no additional action - even as these are "2 references deep" .

Either double click any of the referenced objects to show their respective 1st level references, or, set Reference Deep to 2.

Both these options though - may show even more objects, which may not be required. (can be filtered out by unchecking their respective RefType - if applicable)

 These options, however, may add multiple Objects to the Graph view, making it impossible to view...
