If a user has a valid Confluence license or if anonymous is allowed on the site then allow Service Desk Admin to enable a Calendar to be display on the Customer Portal.
This can show the Organizations events as well as the individual user who is viewing it at that time.
This would probably solve a lot of what is needed by CONFSERVER-54159
