Enhancement to Canned Response Management - Export or Manage/View All Option

    • We collect Jira Service Desk feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

      As a Jira Service Desk Admin I would like the ability to view all canned responses.  Currently they are paged and you can only see about 10 at a time then you have to use next to view the next set.  I'd like to do some review/house keeping and would rather export all of the content or show it all and be able to sort etc.  The current configuration is limited.  While very useful for folks who have been on our team for a while it's difficult for new members to know what's out there.  

      The ability to export all Canned Responses to CSV would be an acceptable option.

       

      NOTE - I did not have a clear Component to select from.  Suggest adding Canned Responses as a Component to this Jira project.

            Ah- good call on using the browser. I always forget they include JSD in there.

            Looks like this will work well- thanks Tanya! My sanity thanks you, and I fully back adding this to the UI so Project Admins can find this easily themselves and without any knowledge of making a rest call.

            Andrew - the REST endpoint is:  ... jira/plugins/servlet/restbrowser#/resource/servicedesk-canned-responses-1-search-projectkey

            I think it's this App we have installed:  Atlassian REST API Browser

            The results are json - we then use an Advanced tables macro to format the results nicely.  Advanced Tables for Confluence

            Hey Tanya, I'm not having any luck finding a call for rest in the Atlassian Docs for Rest or server. Could you share a bit more about your workaround?

            There is an api call.  I'm on my phone but our team used it as a stop gap until we get a more robust native method.

            Would also be nice if you could see the Canned Responses from the Administrative views – rather than having to create a comment on an Issue in order to manage the canned responses.
