Satisfaction survey should automatically close the window when survey is complete

    • We collect Jira Service Desk feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

      Problem Definition

      After a service desk issue is resolved, the customer will get an email asking them to complete a satisfaction survey (if enabled). However when the customer clicks this link it takes them to a browser page. After leaving their feedback, the browser remains open.

      Suggested Solution

      After feedback is received, automatically close the browser tab.

      Why this is important

      We believe it would provide a better user interaction experience for the customer leaving feedback.

            My users all say they would like to see a button on the page that says "Close without Comment". Once you click the stars and the page opens, the users feel like they are obligated to put in a comment.
