Allow creating nested Request Types and Request Type Groups to show in customer portal

    • We collect Jira Service Desk feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

      At the moment Jira Service desk only allows creating one layer of Groups for Request Types;

      So currently there only 2 layers - Group and Request Types inside the groups.

      What is being suggested in this feature request is that there are 3 layers, so that Customers are able to nest Groups and Request Types inside upper level Groups as follows:

            This feature would enable useful and relevant reporting as the grouping isn't granular enough to be of any use for actual reporting of issues types to help guide business needs.

            This is the must to have feature so should be considered as the priority item to be included in the next release of the Jira Service Desk.
