      Problem Definition

In some cases, JIRA Service Desk administrator do not want customer to be able to silence notifications.

      Suggested Solution

Add an option to hide the "Don't notify me" link from customer portal and notification mail.

[JSDSERVER-5201] Allow Service Desk administrator to disable "Don't notify me" feature

            DG added a comment -

This feature would be very nice. As an admin I want to decide for a project to hide or not to hide this option. In our case our customers are confused to have this option in the Service Desk Portal.

Our customers are not receiving valuable information from JSM because they have inadvertently chosen to turn off notifications (not understanding the ramifications). We need to have an option to be able to disable this for specific projects in JSM (even better if we can even select the specific request types).

Also, this is the same as JSDCLOUD-6241 and the requirements should probably be linked to make it easier for Data Center/Server folks to find this request.

It appears that perhaps disabling the cr-unsubscribe-notification module may be a workaround, but it's not recommended since there could be unintended consequences to that.

I'd love to see a recommended way from Atlassian on how to disable the "Don't notify me" button. If it's disabling this module, great. If not, an admin setting to control this would be fine. We just don't want our users opting out of notifications if we're trying to communicate with them.

Isn't there a module that can be disabled?

I agree.  This is especially important for internal service desks, where we don't want employees to be able to opt-out of features like notifications.

The ability to hide Don't notify me on the customer portal is very important. When you add a new feature, you need to think of the repercussions from a customer standpoint (the administrator) and not just the end-user.
