NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Service Desk Server.

      Issue Summary

Currently, if an organization has specific requirements that sessions should timeout after a specific number of minutes, it would be great to be able to configure this similar to what is seen in JIRA instance as seen in the document.

By the above, I mean the customer portal.

            [JSDSERVER-5045] Configure Session Timeout

RJ Foltz added a comment -

Hi, we need a session time out setting for portal only customers.  Is there a setting for this?  I'm only finding a timeout setting for licensed users.

Hello - How many votes are needed for this to be reviewed and placed on the roadmap? This is a security concern for our customers.

Has the document been moved? I'm getting a 400 status error.

We need this to be configurable in JIRA Service Desk.
Currently, our users are logged out automatically after 10 minutes. If this happens while you are working on a ticket, e.g. you are writing a more elaborate comment, this is especially annoying as your text is lost in the worst case.

Our session tests always showed a timeout after 10 min. So this seems to have been configured somewhere somehow in JIRA SD. What was the reason for this 10min-decision and why can't this be changed?
