      Problem Definition

Currently unable to hide Popular and Browse All from Customer Portal in Service Desk:

Many users would like to hide this on their Customer Portal

      Suggested Solution

Provide an option when editing Customer Portal to edit and hide certain sections.

      Why this is important

Better ability to change how Customer Portal displays depending on certain client's needs.

      Workaround

      No known workaround.

[JSDSERVER-4976] How to hide (Popular and Browse All ) on customer portal

Adding my comment here to say that "All portals" and "popular" do not fit my org, some projects are kind of private, need option to hide these options.......

The popular-requests feature is only potentially useful for some user communities with some request menu structures. If users tend to be sporadic visitors and the number of requests is relatively large (which is the case for us), then promoting popular requests paradoxically confuses and slows most users down, which is the opposite of the intended effect.

             Any forecast about this implementation?

The biggest paradox is that nobody wants to have the popular in the portal, yet Atlassian is not listening to the customers for over 2 years. More importantly there is no justification for having popular. It is more logical to show customers all options that they select the right project for reporting their issue.

This is something our organization is and has been interested in for a long time. We have many clients and simply disabling the Popular section would be very helpful for us. If there was a text widget alternative as well where we could put some custom copy that would be even better. Just wanted to voice our support of this feature. Thanks!

At least please provide some workaround manually modifying page building scripts or via Javascript injection.

            Thank you

No. When you go to the service desk(at least out cloud instance) it is automatically populated, before you even login.

Is it set up to where you have to be logged in to see data?  When we edited the customer permissions, it removed it, that option is no longer visible.

This is holding up an important project for us. Please provide an update.
