Problem Definition
Currently for Service Desk customer portal, it is not possible to add CSS or JavaScript

Give admins the ability to add CSS and JavaScript that will have effect on the customer portal

Page Failed to load
Currently customer portal is quite restricted in it's look and feel customization.
We have had numerous requests. Some for changing font size for instance was requested.
We could also see benefit in adjusting how is the page space utilized given how some projects use long description for fields that get cramped in narrow column next to an empty space and the list could go on...
Such options are available to us with JSW, via announcement banner for instance. Why is JSD otherwise quite well implemented with regards to new features and how can project admins maintain them without additional handling required by Jira team...
There we are able to fix some of known pains, or complications, like say long project names(shared prefix) for select list of limited width(for ex: create issue), or list of boards that is too long to fit on a page in comparison how many some projects are actually using...
Just WHY is JSD announcement not taking html as input instead?
The same way as JSW uses announcement banner?
