NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Service Desk Server. Using JIRA Service Desk Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.
Problem Definition
Currently, if a JIRA Service Desk project has Anyone added to the Browse Projects permission, this allows access to browse the project via the JIRA application, however not through the Customer Portal. Users are forced to login to the Customer Portal to be able to see it, even if set to Anyone can sign up for a customer account on my Customer Portal. This adds additional steps to customers who may be able to solve their issue with the Service Desk's linked Knowledge Base.
Suggested Solution
Allow for anonymous access to the Customer Portal if the Request Security is set to Anyone can sign up for a customer account on my Customer Portal and the Browse Projects permission has Anyone added to it.
