Multiple Confluence Knowledge Base spaces

      Problem Definition

      Sometimes there may be existing Confluence Spaces that already contain Knowledge Base data. Having the ability to link a single JIRA Service Desk to these spaces would be better, since that would require less Space and Page re-arranging. Not changing the pre-existing Knowledge Base environment would be less troubling for Customers as well.

      Suggested Solution

      Have JIRA Service Desk be able to connect to multiple Confluence Spaces.

      Workaround

      Assuming the end goal is to have unlicensed access to multiple Confluence spaces, create dummy JIRA projects and link them to the desired Confluence spaces.

            This is much needed in the cloud. Confluence doesn't allow duplicate page names in a given space, for good reason, but that makes it hard to publish multiple versions of, say, user guide pages, where they need to coexist in the same project in JSD!

            We would also like to be able to be able to search and link articles from different spaces.

            We have spaces that contain more technical info (a space per team: developers, system engineers, application specific...)

            The knowledge base for the customers (used for showing articles when logging a ticket via the portal or linking an article as solution to an issue) should only show content from the Space(s) on which they have viewing permission.

            i'd like to support one software (one project) through the servicedesk, but as the software evolves, documentation of multiple versions of the software is stored in multiple spaces. Need to link search boxes and ticket creation auto-complete to multiple spaces.
