Description
Summary
When JIRA Service Desk evaluation license is expired but JIRA Software Commercial license is not expired , user can't create issue for JIRA Software project.
Environment
- JIRA Software v7.0.5
- JIRA Service Desk v3.0.5 or v3.x
Steps to Reproduce
- Install JIRA Software and use a working Commercial License for it.
- Get an evaluation JIRA Service Desk License.
- Change the system date to pass the Expiry date.
- Refresh JIRA and Re-login.
- Try to create issue.
Expected Results
As JIRA Software's license is still valid, users should be able to create issues without any problems.
Actual Results
Users are not able to create any issues due to the expired Evaluation License for JIRA Service Desk
Notes
It will still work if it is a Commercial License that is expired, just like prior to JIRA 7
Workaround
- Navigate to JIRA Administration > Applications > Versions & Licenses
- Remove the Expired License by clicking the "Trash" icon or update it with a valid license
