Description
NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Service Desk Server. Using JIRA Service Desk Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.
Problem Definition
When a JIRA Service Desk project's Knowledge Base is linked to a Confluence Space, the search feature that appears within the Customer Portal to find potential solutions through the KB does not provide autocomplete results unless a full word is entered. The search field displays Please enter at least 3 more characters, however unless the full word entered is three characters in length, the autocomplete feature does not provide any results until a full word is entered.
Suggested Solution
Add support for partial word search when entering the first three+ characters of a word. This should also return mid-word results as well, assuming the characters entered are not the first three.
Workaround
Type in a full word for the search
