Feature Request: Allow Custom fields to be added to Jira and JSD User Accounts

    • We collect Jira Service Desk feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

      We use Jira Service Desk Cloud to provide support for our software product which is used by multiple external companies. Currently when users report an issue they have to type in their phone number every time they report an issue since it is not associated with their user record. We would like to propose to:

      • Allow Custom fields to be added to the Jira and JSD user account (Phone number, Company, etc)
      • Allow the above Custom fields to be updated from JSD Sign Up form

      The first time user goes to our JSD Customer Portal he would be presented with a login form which would include Phone Number and a drop down of supported external companies. After user provides this information once at sign up he would not have to provide it again during subsequent interactions with the system. We will be able to contact the user and manage users more effectively.

            Good day, Matthew:

            Is there a chance you could tell me the reference number for the feature request which I have duplicated? I have searched for it before I have reported this issue and after and I could not identify it.

            Moreover, earlier I was advised by Atlassian support that there is no pending feature request for this and they asked me to submit it.

            It might be a good idea to provide such reference as a matter of course as a courtesy to customers who are trying to help improve the product.
