Description
Summary
JavaScript error is displayed on JIRA Agile Boards when you create an issue which is expected to show the following diagram, if you install JIRA Service Desk and if you use Japanese UI.
Your issue <ISSUE_KEY> has been created but is not currently visible.
Steps to Reproduce
- Install vanilla JIRA 6.4.10 (current latest)
- Install JIRA Agile 6.7.11 (current latest) through 'Find new add-ons'
- Install JIRA Service Desk 2.5.4 (current latest) through 'Find new add-ons'
- Create a scrum board and create a project for the board
- Go to Profile and change the language to 日本語 (Japanese)
- Go to 'Active sprints' of the board
- Click '作成' (create) button at the header to open 'Create Issue' screen
- Fill the information on the screen and hit '作成' (create) to create the issue
- JavaScript error is displayed (see JavaScriptError.png)
Expected Results
The new issue is created with the following message instead of the JavaScript error:
Your issue <ISSUE_KEY> has been created but is not currently visible.
Actual Results
No related information is logged in the atlassian-jira.log file
Notes
- The issue is successfully created even though the JavaScript error is displayed
- The error does not happen when you use any language other than Japanese
- The error does not happen when you disable JIRA Service Desk
- The problem might relate to
JSD-2016
Workaround
- Ignore the JavaScript error because the issue is created successfully
- Use any language other than Japanese
