My thinking is that this specific issue appears linked to JSD-219, whereas it seems the actual suggestion is to allow a general web panel style plugin system within the Customer Portal.

While this issue description could be updated to reflect that, I believe a new suggestion might be better to help track the actual requirements.

It would be useful if you can provide some additional information as to what parts of the Customer Portal would benefit from this type of functionality. Feel free to instead update this issue, and we can reopen

Thanks for your response. I understand that this is a more general request to add web-panel support to the Customer Portal.

Can I request opening a new Suggestion ticket about this, and if possible, providing as much detail as possible about the type of use cases you have, would be appreciated

It's not... We've got an add-on on the Atlassian Marketplace ( https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.wittified.atl-announcer-jira ). We (Wittified) have gotten a feature request to expose our Announcements on JIRA Service Desk..

So can we reopen?

It looks like the ability to add announcements is a duplicate of JSD-219.

I recommend following that issue for updates.
