    • We collect Jira Service Desk feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Service Desk Server. Using JIRA Service Desk Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Issue Summary

Currently in JIRA, when a customer accesses a Service Desk portal, there is no close issue button nor is there a re-open issue button.

Currently all that is available is the feature to re-open issues when they comment on a resolved issue.

This prevents our customers from being able to close their own open issues and also doesn't provide a clear way to re-open issues.

Can something similar to the links provided in Service Desk be added?
