This High severity DOM-based XSS vulnerability was introduced in versions 10.0.1, 10.1.1, 10.2.0, 10.3.0, 10.4.0, 10.5.0, 10.6.0, 10.7.1, 11.0.0, and 11.1.0 of Jira Service Management Data Center.
This DOM-based XSS vulnerability, with a CVSS Score of 8.7 and a CVSS Vector of CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:N allows an authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary HTML or JavaScript code on a victims browser which has high impact to confidentiality, high impact to integrity, no impact to availability, and requires user interaction.
Atlassian recommends that Jira Service Management Data Center customers upgrade to latest version, if you are unable to do so, upgrade your instance to one of the specified supported fixed versions:
- Jira Service Management Data Center 10.3: Upgrade to a release greater than or equal to 10.3.25

The National Vulnerability Database provides the following description for this vulnerability: TinyMCE is an open source rich text editor. Prior to 5.11.1, 7.9.3, and 8.5.1, there is a stored XSS vulnerability in the media plugin. Attackers can inject malicious scripts via crafted data-mce-* attributes, which are executed when content is rendered. Impacts users of TinyMCE with the media plugin enabled. This vulnerability is fixed in 5.11.1, 7.9.3, and 8.5.1.
