      This High severity DoS (Denial of Service) vulnerability was introduced in versions 5.15.2, 5.16.0, 5.17.0, 10.0.0, 10.1.1, 10.2.0, 10.3.0, 10.4.0, 10.5.0, 10.6.0, 10.7.1, 11.0.0, 11.1.0, 11.2.0, and 11.3.0 of Jira Service Management Data Center.

      This DoS (Denial of Service) vulnerability, with a CVSS Score of 7.5 and a CVSS Vector of CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H allows an unauthenticated attacker to cause a resource to be unavailable for its intended users by temporarily or indefinitely disrupting services of a host connected to a network which has no impact to confidentiality, no impact to integrity, high impact to availability, and requires no user interaction.

      Atlassian recommends that Jira Service Management Data Center customers upgrade to latest version, if you are unable to do so, upgrade your instance to one of the specified supported fixed versions:

      The National Vulnerability Database provides the following description for this vulnerability: The brace-expansion library generates arbitrary strings containing a common prefix and suffix. Prior to versions 5.0.5, 3.0.2, 2.0.3, and 1.1.13, a brace pattern with a zero step value (e.g., `

      {1..2..0}

      `) causes the sequence generation loop to run indefinitely, making the process hang for seconds and allocate heaps of memory. Versions 5.0.5, 3.0.2, 2.0.3, and 1.1.13 fix the issue. As a workaround, sanitize strings passed to `expand()` to ensure a step value of `0` is not used.
