Comment text is lost if a user makes changes to the attachment files before clicking "Add" in the customer portal

      Issue Summary

      When attempting to add an attachment to a comment in the ticketing system,

      • if the user removes the initial attachment and adds the same or different one, the comment text is lost but the attachment is added.
      • if the user first attaches multiple attachments and then removes even one of the attachments before actually clicking "Add", the comment text is lost but the attachments are added

      This bug can lead to confusion and loss of important information for users.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Open any ticket in the JSM Portal and begin writing a comment
      2. Attempt to add an attachment to the comment but do not submit it yet.
      3. Remove the initial attachment.
      4. Add a different or the same attachment file to the ticket.
      5. Click 'Add' to submit the attachment.
      6. Observe that the comment text is lost and only the attachment is added to the ticket.

      Alternatively,

      1. Open any ticket in the JSM Portal and begin writing a comment
      2. Attempt to add two attachment to the comment but do not submit it yet.
      3. Remove one of the attachments.
      5. Click 'Add' to submit the attachment.
      6. Observe that the comment text is lost and only the attachment(s) is added to the ticket.

      Expected Results

      Both the text and the comment is added to the ticket

      Actual Results

      Only the attachment(s) is added without any comment text

      Workaround

      Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
