In list or board views (e.g., “Assigned to Me”, “My Open Issues”, or custom queues), Jira should display a small notification bubble or badge next to tickets that have had new activity (comments, mentions, status changes) since the user last viewed or opened them.

This would improve user awareness without relying on the global bell icon, which mixes all project updates and requires more navigation.

      Benefits:

      • Quickly identify tickets needing attention
      • Less reliance on the bell icon
      • Faster triage for support agents, PMs, and developers

      Example Use Case:
When I open my "Assigned to Me" list, I want to see a red dot or count next to any ticket that has unread comments or updates — similar to how messaging apps show unread messages — so I don’t have to open every ticket or cross-reference the notification center.

      Suggested Implementation:

      • Show a small dot or numbered badge beside the ticket key or summary
      • Reset the indicator when the user opens the ticket

      Thank you!
