Currently, when editing a previously configured Assets gadget on a Jira dashboard, the field defaults to showing the first report available rather than the specific report chosen during the initial widget configuration. This means that if a user goes to edit the gadget and isn't attentive, the intended report selection can be inadvertently overwritten. Defaulting to the configured report instead would improve the user experience.
