JSM >=5.1.0 outputs useful statistics if the logging package com.atlassian.servicedesk.plugins.base.internal.logging is set to DEBUG
This data point describes the state of PSMQ:
2025-07-03 03:30:32,686 pool-24-thread-1 DEBUG [base.internal.logging.PsmqLogger] psmq.master.queue.size: 0 2025-07-03 03:30:32,687 pool-24-thread-1 DEBUG [base.internal.logging.PsmqLogger] psmq.issue.queue.size: 0 2025-07-03 03:30:32,688 pool-24-thread-1 DEBUG [base.internal.logging.PsmqLogger] psmq.issue.striping.queue.size: 0 2025-07-03 03:30:32,689 pool-24-thread-1 DEBUG [base.internal.logging.PsmqLogger] psmq.async.job.queue.size: 0 2025-07-03 03:30:32,690 pool-24-thread-1 DEBUG [base.internal.logging.PsmqLogger] psmq.asyncthen.queue.size: 0
Without this enabled, getting the data requires periodical SQL execution against the DB.
So, defaulting this to ON provides an important data point in the case of PSMQ related performance problem that already happened.
This would shorten the time required to diagnose and resolve PSMQ problems.
