Enable keyboard navigation for CSAT star ratings in Jira Service Management emails

    • We collect Jira Service Desk feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

      Currently, the Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) surveys sent via Jira Service Management use a graphical star rating system embedded in the email. These star ratings require the use of a pointing device (e.g., mouse or touch input) to interact with, and there is no support for keyboard navigation.

      This presents a significant accessibility limitation for users who rely on keyboard-only navigation or assistive technologies such as screen readers. These users are currently unable to submit their satisfaction rating without a mouse, which negatively impacts their ability to participate in feedback.

      It would be great to have the below -

      • Allow tab-based keyboard navigation to highlight/select individual star ratings.
      • Allow use of arrow keys (←, →) or number keys (1–5) to adjust the rating.
      • Enable Enter or Space to confirm a rating.

      This enhancement would improve accessibility, make CSAT responses more inclusive, and align Jira Service Management with accessibility best practices.
