Currently, the Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) surveys sent via Jira Service Management use a graphical star rating system embedded in the email. These star ratings require the use of a pointing device (e.g., mouse or touch input) to interact with, and there is no support for keyboard navigation.
This presents a significant accessibility limitation for users who rely on keyboard-only navigation or assistive technologies such as screen readers. These users are currently unable to submit their satisfaction rating without a mouse, which negatively impacts their ability to participate in feedback.
It would be great to have the below -
- Allow tab-based keyboard navigation to highlight/select individual star ratings.
- Allow use of arrow keys (←, →) or number keys (1–5) to adjust the rating.
- Enable Enter or Space to confirm a rating.
This enhancement would improve accessibility, make CSAT responses more inclusive, and align Jira Service Management with accessibility best practices.
