      Issue Summary

Users receive notifications for issue updates that are not related to Assets if they are watching Assets objects referenced in the issue's custom fields. Users are not watching the Jira issue and do not appear in the Watchers field.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Add an Assets object custom field in the context of a Jira issue (the custom field does not need to be added on the screen of the Jira issue).
      2. Become a watcher of the Assets field.
      3. Update the Jira issue (by changing any field other than the Assets one, transitioning the issue, etc).

      Expected Results

Users receive a notification only if there is a change related to the Assets object type they're watching, No notification should be triggered when no changes related to the Assets object have occurred.

      Actual Results

Users receive notifications for the issue update that are unrelated to the Assets object they're watching.

      Workaround

Stop watching the Assets objects so there would be no notifications for updated unrelated to these objects. The steps can be found in the KB article Users receiving notifications from issues where they should not receive notifications due to the Assets application.
