Issue Summary
In Jira Service Management (JSM) Data Center versions 10.3.1 and 10.3.2, users are unable to add groups when attempting to restrict request types. Despite being designed to support groups, the functionality only allows adding individual users and orgs.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a group with active users with JSM application access and permissions to a JSM project.
- Navigate to the project settings and select "Request Types."
- Attempt to restrict a request type by adding a group.
- Observe that while searching for groups, no results are populated, and only individual users or existing Organizations appear in the search results.
Expected Results
Users should be able to search for and add groups to restrict request types in addition to individual users and organizations.
Actual Results
When restricting request types, the search functionality only returns individual users and orgs but not groups, preventing the ability to restrict request types to groups.
Workaround
This is not a bug. Groups must be added as customers in the JSM project before being able to search and select groups when restricting request types.
