Description:
We would like to request the ability to grant view rights for Assets in Jira Service Management (JSM) to non-agents. This feature would be beneficial for both our customers and colleagues who have Jira and Confluence accounts. Specifically, we envision the following use cases:
- Customers: Allowing customers to view asset information related to their requests would enhance transparency and improve their overall experience.
- Internal Colleagues: Enabling view rights for colleagues with Jira and Confluence accounts would facilitate better collaboration and information sharing. This includes:
- Using Confluence macros to display asset information.
- Utilizing Jira dashboard macros to integrate asset views.
- Directly accessing asset information within JSM for more efficient workflows.
Benefits:
- Improved Transparency: Customers can track and view asset information related to their requests, leading to higher satisfaction.
- Enhanced Collaboration: Internal teams can access and share asset information seamlessly, improving efficiency and communication.
- Streamlined Workflows: Providing view rights to a broader user base can reduce bottlenecks and enhance overall productivity.
This feature would be a gamechanger for us, and we believe that its absence is currently hindering our ability to fully leverage the power of Assets. We believe this feature aligns with best practices for IT service management and would greatly benefit the user community.Â
