User mentions in object comments do not trigger notifications.

      Issue Summary

      This is reproducible on Data Center: Yes

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. go to Assets > Object schemas.
      2. Select an object schema and an object type.
      3. Select an object.
      4. Select Activity at the bottom of the object overview page, and then click Add Comments.
      5. Mention a user in the comment.

      The issue remains consistent whether the comment is included in the object view page or the object detailed view (e.g. /secure/ObjectSchema.jspa?id=<id>&typeId=<id>&objectId=<id>).

      Expected Results

      As long as your SMTP server defined for Jira itself is up and running the notifications should be sent also for Insight in relationship to:

      • Jira user mentioned in any object comment.

      Actual Results

      Notification works for the following two use cases.

      • Insight automation rule set to send a mail notifications as action.
      • Insight user watching an object and any comment is added to the object.

      Notification email is not sent for the following use case.

      • Jira user mentioned in any object comment.

      Workaround

      Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
