We are currently using JSM 5.14
Description
When we create an object, we sometimes capture the same attributes for different elements of that object (see example below). It would be very useful to have a function in Jira Assets that allows you to copy a set of attribute fields as you need them in the object creation screen (see example below).
At the moment, we have to manually create sets of attribute fields. Some of our object attribute lists are getting extremely long and confusing, not to mention the related object creation screens, because we have to create a set of object attribute fields for each the object elements we want to capture.
E.g., we may have a contract covering only 1 cost type, amount and related renewal period, so we need only one set of attribute fields to record the details. Another contract covers 3 cost types, amounts and renewal periods, so we need 3 set of fields.
The database application of another provider, that we are currently migrating from, has a function allowing you to add a set of attributes in this case, i.e.:
SMA Contract
Attribute set 1
Payment amount 1: $123.45
Payment recurrence 1: Once-off
Payment details 1: Royalties
Renewal date 1: 01.01.20xx
Attribute set 2
Payment amount 2: $234.56
Payment recurrence 2: Annually
Payment details 2: Maintenance & Support
Renewal date 2: 01.01.20yy
"+" Button for generating another set of attributes when clicked
Attribute set n
_Payment amount n: ____________
_Payment recurrence n: __________
_Payment details n: _____________
_Renewal date n: _____________
It would be great to have something similar in Jira Assets.
