      Issue Summary

This is reproducible on Data Center: (yes)

In Assets we can activate an audit log, and optionally include Attribute values - so we can track changes to objects, and who executed them.

A Schema Manager / Assets Admin can delete an Object Type Attribute - which may already have values in objects.

When an Attribute is deleted - even if it has values in some objects, there will be no entry in the Assets Audit log!

We have JSDSERVER-10894 - to add Object type events to the audit log.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. As an Assets admin: navigate to Jira Administration>Manage Addons>Assets configuration and make sure that "Assets audit log", and "Include attributes in Audit log" are both enabled ('Yes')
      2. In an object Schema - add a text attribute to an object type "Test"
      3. Create a few objects and populate the Attribute "Test" with random strings - Note that the Assets Audit log will log these actions and the attribute values
      4. Edit one object and clear the value from "Test" - note that the audit log will have an entry for this edit (Object updated and the Attribute has no value, and is excluded from the log entry).
      5. Now, navigate to the Attributes tab, and delete the "Test" Attribute

      Expected Results

The Assets audit log will have an entry for each of the objects that had a value for "Test" - indicating the User who deleted the Attribute as the Actor.

      Actual Results

Nothing is logged in the Assets audit log, and nothing is logged into the Object history.

There is no option to trace the User who's responsible, nor the time.

      Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
