Description
Issue Summary
When a new customer without an account tries to create a new request via email. The customer receives an email with the prompt to activate the Jira account. If the customer clicks the activation link he gets an error that You do not have permission to view this Portal
This is reproducible on Data Center: yes
Steps to Reproduce
- Set customer permission in the project settings to *Anyone can raise a request on the customer portal or by email * for the option Who can raise requests option.
#enable the public signup option *anyone can sign up for an account, and raise requests by email * - Send an email to the email channel used by your JSM project/s.
Expected Results
the customer receives an email with the prompt to activate the Jira account. If the customer clicks the activation link he will get an option to set up the password and log in.
Actual Results
the customer receives an email with the prompt to activate the Jira account. If the customer clicks the activation link he gets an error that You do not have permission to view this Portal
Workaround
Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
