      Issue Summary

After configuring SFTP export type and clicking on the Test Export Path button on Discovery tool installed on Linux, the application becomes less responsive

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Set up and install Insight Discovery on Ubuntu following the steps on Using Discovery on a Linux system.
      2. Configure export with SFTP as the export type.
      3. Fill in all the required fields and click on the Test Export Path button.

      Expected Results

Clicking on the Test Export Path button after filling in the fields like username and password returns the result very quickly. Switching to other tabs and configure other fields work flawless as well.

      Actual Results

Clicking on the Test Export Path button after filling in the fields like username and password doesn't give any response. It's also difficult to switch to another tab after performing this tab, it might take a few clicks just to switch to another tab or to close the application.

Here's a screen recording of how the issue can be reproduced and how the workaround would work - JSDSERVER-12007.mp4

      Workaround

Force quit the application (Control + x on the terminal would also work), open it again, go to the Export tab and click on the button without clicking on other fields or make any other modifications

      Notes

      • This is only affecting the SFTP export type. It doesn't affect other export types like SFTP_RSA, Cloud etc when clicking to test the export path for other export types.
      • This also affects Discovery tool 3.1.2.
      • This doesn't affect the SFTP export type on Discovery tool 2.29.0. Even thought the Export tab doesn't exist in versions before 3.x, the SFTP export type configuration presents and works similarly on a different tab.
