Issue Summary
Object overview modal for graph view has aria-hidden="true" is used on informative content making it inaccessible to assistive technology.
Tested URL
https://instenv-21072-japp.instenv.internal.atlassian.com/browse/ITSM-9#
Steps to Reproduce
- Launch the URL
- In the object navigate to the Affected Server details and activate the Link for the Object, it will open an Object overview modal
- In the modal, activate the Show graph icon.
- A new modal will appear for Object overview, Click on the "Force" button. Then the graph will display in the Force view. Click on the "Tree" button. Then the graph will display in the Tree view.
Actual Results
The "aria-hidden" attribute is provided to the Object overview modal for force mode/tree mode graph view, which becomes available on activating the Show graph icon in the Object overview modal. As a result, screen reader users cannot access the image button effectively.
Expected Results
Remove aria-hidden=”true” from the <div> element in the page source for the modal.
The aria-hidden="true" attribute is used to hide the content from assistive technology users. Although it is a best practice to use the aria-hidden="true" attribute to hide irrelevant content for screen reader users, it can pose issues for screen reader users if it is not used correctly.
Additionally, ensure the focus does not move out of the modal in the background content unless the modal is closed.
