    • We collect Jira Service Desk feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Service Desk Server. Using JIRA Service Desk Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Problem Definition

Customers usually have to login and go into service desk then download a report then send it to different teams.

      Solution

It would be cool if JIRA Service Desk do this automatically.

Until Service Desk comes out with a full-blown solution, there are two pretty neat workarounds:

            1. PDF View Plugin version 3.4.0 or newer allows you working with Service Desk fields (SLA, request type, etc.), exporting them, processing them with Groovy scripts, etc.
Then you can use the PDF Automation Plugin to schedule the exports, and email or save the results.
            2. If you are really looking for full-blown reporting (complex calculations, pivot tables, pivot charts), then the Better Excel Plugin may better fit your use case. It does not support Service Desk-specific custom field types yet, but it is already in our roadmap. You can use all other custom field types though, as tickets are just issues.
It also has its companion plugin for scheduling: Excel Automation Plugin

Investigate these options, I'm sure one of them will solve your use case.

            Hi Noble,

There is currently no way to have reports sent out automatically. I will change this issue to a suggestion
