    XMLWordPrintable

Details

    Description

When an automated action is executed by the user 'Automation for Jira', customer notifications and Jira automation rules won't be triggered.

      Steps to Reproduce (example)

      1. Enable the 'Participant added' customer notification
      2. Create an automation rule in Automation for Jira
        • Trigger: Issue created
        • Action: Edit issue (add a user in the field Request participants)
      3. Create an issue
      4. Check the issue history and note the change made in the request participants by user 'Automation for Jira'

      Expected Results

The participant set in the rule will be added to the Request Participants and the 'Participant added' customer notification will be sent to the participant.

      Actual Results

The user is correctly added to the Request participants, however, the customer notification is not triggered. The participants receive notifications of actions made by other users correctly.

      Workaround

Select another user to execute automation actions.
