      Product Update - 11 Nov 2024

      Hi All,

Thank you for sharing your feedback.

We have evaluated this ticket and understand that this is something that would be very useful to some customers. The current functionality was built to prevent duplicate tickets being created across projects. We understand that now there are legitimate use case for sending to multiple projects.

We'd love to change this but we will not be able to prioritise this at the moment as there are other items in the short term roadmap which are higher priority. We will definitely get back to you once we pick this up in our short term roadmap.

      Regards,

Ben Costello, Product Manager, Jira Service Management

      Current Behavior

If a customer sends an email to multiple JSD cloud mail handlers (Vertimail) provided by Atlassian, then the email will be processed only Once by one of these mail handlers. Which mail handler will process the email cannot be determined.

The behavior is the same when you send an email to a default Jira cloud mail handler as well as a JSD cloud mail handler. In this case also the email will be processed only Once by one of these mail handlers.

      Desired Behavior

If the email is addressed to multiple JSD cloud mail handlers (Vertimail) provided by Atlassian, then all these mail handlers should process the email.

      Workaround

Currently, the desired behavior can only be achieved by addressing it to a custom mail handler as well so that it gets processed by JSD cloud mail handler, as well as the custom mail handler
