      Problem Definition

Currently, attachments in notifications generate a link for the user to access the full attachment via our JSD instance.

      Use Case

Many Service Desks interact with users/clients via email, meaning that having to access the actual Service Desk and login to get the attachment is extremely inefficient and can create a high impact on our workflow. Current third party solutions are not desirable for security reasons tied to storing sensitive information on outside servers.

      Problem Definition

Currently, if an attachment is included in a notification, an inline preview of the attachment is visible within the e-mail notification. Attempting to access the attachment redirects to the instance's hosted location of the attachment, requiring the user to login to the instance to retrieve the full attachment.

      Suggested Solution

Allow the option for attachments to be included as an actual e-mail attachment within the e-mail notification so that the attachment can be downloaded directly from the e-mail without having to login to the instance.

      Proposed Solution

Allow for the option to send out actual attachments that can be opened and directly from the notification.

This has been suggested in tickets like "https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDSERVER-3371", but the issue has been largely ignored, which is not an optimal approach to this.
