Ability to have issue level security in Team-managed (former next-gen) projects

      So that an issue can be further locked down to where just the specified users can access it.

      An example use case would be where in one project, containing multiple groups of employees, it would be possible to limit some groups access to particular tasks.

            100%, same for Security (re: barrier for use for Legal).  In my sandbox testing, it looks like Jira Software team-managed projects recently added limited single-issue lockdown permissions, but it's still restricted to roles (and isn't available on Work Management that I can see). 

            Ideally, there would also be one more selectable option, "Reporter", so that issue reporters can see the issues they submit, but otherwise, view access would be restricted to Administrators and/or Members (or other custom roles).

            Hoping there's some movement on this issue. It's a huge barrier for in-house legal teams who need to track matters across the firm. We don't have bandwidth (and as a cost center, often no technical support) to build company boards from scratch, and we end up defaulting to some third party legal matter management system that doesn't integrate or talk to any other tool in our tech stack by default. The Next Gen wizard makes it incredibly simple (it took me 2 weeks to build the board exactly as I needed it) but the lack of issue level security that gives legal visibility into how issues are viewed and who can view them means I can't use that next gen board at all. I need to be able to say "HR tickets can only be viewed by requesters and legal" but "Sales tickets can be viewed by all of Sales" to make Jira a viable alternative to the xakia's and simplylegal's of the world.

            This functionality would be extremely useful for our teams - We pitch next-gen to a majority of our new users, and issue restrictions/security levels across the next-gen suite would be a great selling point.

            We appreciate the merit of this issue, but don't intend to work it in the foreseeable future. We'll review it again within a year to see if our decision has changed.
