In Classic projects, user can use their setting using the "Create with Shared Configuration" function. However, currently this is not available for next-gen projects.
It would be great if next-gen projects have the ability to clone them.
It would also be great if this clone function includes copying the request types and customer settings

I recommend that watchers of this issue vote on and watch the above issue. So that votes aren't split, I believe this ticket should be closed, but I will wait a week before taking any action in case anyone thinks both issues should continue to exist. Thank you!

Just my thoughts
I really need this yesterday, I have a project that has been configured for a customer. the customer wants some changes, I need a copy of the project for testing for any new requirements. (new Requirements are not just adding a field to a ticket type, it is Automation, changing workflows which is new to me)
Ideally I'd say I need a "Save As" Approach my vision would be as Admin, I could select any current Project in my Atlassian suite and "Save As" with the ability of changing the name of the project and resetting the Projects Numbering back to zero with a new ticketing numbers along with making any new tweaks to the project before going live.
Some of our customers have similar requirements so this would be awesome and put Atlassian streets ahead of others
This would speed up the process creating projects for new customers and making Testings environments.
My ex manager sold me on this as being possible - they have since left
Why don't we already have this ability?
The feature to COPY or CLONE team managed project with set settings is a MUST HAVE. We have numbers of clients but we cannot manage all in one project that is why I need copy and copy and copy.. This is so boring and stupid if missing feature in such tool like Jira. I think this is URGENT for all using team managed projects.
