When creating a new Service Desk project in Jira Cloud it is possible to create an associated knowledge base space in Confluence.
Currently an "overview" page is created. A user would like to choose a custom Confluence page template from the Jira menu to associate with the new Service Desk projects.
Screen shot from Jira - either option "Create article" or "Go to Confluence" will result in the overview page being created in Confluence:
