Description
Summary
When a customer transitions a ticket from the portal with the post function clear field value the resolution is cleared but is not recorded in the ticket History.
Steps to Reproduce
- Add the post function Clear Field Value to a transition and expose it to the customer in the portal
- Notice you can still set the customer configuration of what happens to the resolution when the customer transitions - not relevant, you can set it or not. It doesn't change anything.
- As a customer, click on the transition in the portal
- As an agent view the ticket within Jira, notice the resolution has been cleared but there is no record of that in the history
Expected Results
A log is made in the History of the ticket showing that the customer made a transition and cleared the resolution
Actual Results
Only the transition is recorded in the History
Notes
This can make SLA reports inaccurate and is somewhat impossible to reliably view the history of the ticket
Workaround
Replace the post function Clear Field Value with Update Issue Field
