Description
Summary
SInce 7th March 2018 , based on JIRA Service Desk blog post (https://confluence.atlassian.com/servicedeskcloud/blog/2017/12/knowledge-bases-must-be-on-the-same-domain-as-your-service-desk) , Jira Service Desk Cloud will no longer support links to:
- Confluence Server
- Confluence Cloud spaces hosted on a different domain
And it also updated in Serving customers with a knowledge base. However, if the instance already have application link to Confluence with a different domain , and try to configure the knowledge based , it throws misleading error.

Steps to Reproduce
- Create application link to Confluence with different domain
- Go to JIRA Service Desk project , try to configure the knowledge based
Expected Results
It throws user friendly error :-
You can only link to Confluence spaces that are on the same domain as your service desk project.
Actual Results
It throw error below:-
Can't connect to Confluence because the application link is corrupt. Recreated the Confluence link in Application Links, and then try again.
Workaround
Migrate the Confluence content to the same domain with JIRA Service Desk project as per explain here . Then configure the knowledge based again.
