      Currently, there's no clear explanation about the usage for Notification setting in JIRA Service Desk Configuration. Go to Cog Icon > Application > JIRA Service Desk Configuration

      Should customers receive Jira notifications? Learn more about notifications

      • No, only send Jira Service Desk notifications to customers (recommended)
      • Yes, send customers both Jira Service Desk and Jira notifications

      Suggested Solution

      Update the documentation and explain the usage of it. As of now, the setting for Yes, send customers both Jira Service Desk and Jira notifications is for agent that is treated as a customer. By enabling it , the agent also will receive notification from JIRA (as per configured in Notification Scheme) and notification from JIRA Service Desk.

      Why this is important

      Our customer is not aware of this usage. So, need to have this to clear the understanding of the configuration.
